1. Introduction
AutoViz LLC AutoViz,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) provides 3D visualization, configurator, augmented reality (“AR”), and AI-powered image processing tools for automotive brands and retailers.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you visit our website, interact with AutoViz tools embedded on third-party retailer or brand websites (“Client Sites”), use our augmented reality features, use our iOS App Clip or related mobile application, or access our customer or administrative portals.
2. Scope of This Policy
This Privacy Policy applies to information collected by AutoViz through its services and infrastructure. When AutoViz tools are embedded on Client Sites, the Client Site operator’s privacy policy may also apply. AutoViz is responsible only for information collected through its tools and systems.
3. Information We Collect
A. Information You Provide: Uploaded images for visualization, email addresses voluntarily submitted, build configuration data, contact form submissions, and portal login credentials.
B. Information Collected Automatically: IP address, approximate geographic location derived from IP, device and browser type, operating system, referring URLs, session duration, pages visited, interaction events, and timestamps.
C. Camera and AR Data: Camera access is used solely for real-time augmented reality visualization. AutoViz does not record or store live video feeds.
D. AI Image Processing: Uploaded images are processed using automated systems and third-party AI service providers solely to provide contracted services. Images are not used to train public AI models and are not sold.
4. How We Use Information
To provide visualization services, generate AI-modified images, improve service accuracy, monitor performance, maintain security, provide support, and comply with legal obligations. We do not use personal information for cross-site behavioral advertising.
5. Embedded Client Site Services & Roles
When embedded on Client Sites, AutoViz generally acts as a data processor on behalf of the Client Site operator. The Client Site operator determines the purpose and legal basis for data collection.
6. Public Build Links
Shareable build links display product configuration data but do not display user-uploaded vehicle images unless explicitly included by the user.
7. How We Share Information
We may share information with service providers (cloud hosting, analytics, AI processing), Client Site operators, or as required by law. We do not sell personal information. A list of subprocessors is available upon request.
8. Data Retention
Uploaded images are retained while associated with an active build or for up to twelve (12) months of inactivity, whichever occurs first. An active build is one accessed or modified within the preceding twelve (12) months. After this period, images are deleted or anonymized. Analytics data may be retained for up to twelve (12) months. Backup copies are maintained on a rolling basis for disaster recovery purposes.
9. International Data Transfers
Services are primarily operated in the United States. Where applicable, safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses may be relied upon for international transfers.
10. Legal Basis for Processing (EEA/UK/Switzerland)
Where applicable, we process personal data based on performance of a contract, legitimate interests, consent, or legal obligations.
11. Canadian Privacy Rights
Individuals in Canada may request access to or correction of personal information in accordance with applicable laws.
12. California Privacy Rights
California residents may have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including rights to access, delete, or correct personal information. AutoViz does not sell personal information.
13. Children’s Privacy
Our services are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
14. Data Security
We implement reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including encryption in transit and secure cloud infrastructure in the United States.
15. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Changes are effective when posted with an updated date.
